When are CCSE results released?
Instituto Cervantes says results are communicated approximately 20 days after the test. This is an estimate rather than a guaranteed time for every session.
- Tests are marked and validated.
Answers are read automatically, then overall results and incidents are reviewed before the grade records are approved.
- You receive an email.
Instituto Cervantes sends a message when the results for your session have been published.
- The result appears in your private account.
You can check it and download the certificate from the account used for registration.
How to check the result and download the certificate
Results are available only in the private area of the Instituto Cervantes Exams portal.
- Open the official portal. Go directly to the Instituto Cervantes Exams website.
- Sign in there. Use the username and password provided during registration; never enter them on a third-party site.
- Open “My certificates”. Check the result and download the electronically signed certificate.
CCSE App cannot see your record. Do not send us your password, NIE, registration number or Secure Verification Code.
Open my official accountWhat APTO, NO APTO and NO PRESENTADO mean
The certificate shows an overall result, not the number of correct answers.
You passed the test
You achieved at least 15 correct answers out of 25. Download and keep the certificate.
You did not pass this session
You may request a review within the official period and use the second opportunity if you meet the conditions.
You were recorded as absent
This is not a score. Your first registration may allow a second opportunity under the official conditions.
The certificate does not show the exact score. APTO requires 15 correct answers out of 25.
Using and verifying your CCSE certificate
The electronic certificate is signed by Instituto Cervantes and can be used for a Spanish nationality application.
- It is valid for four years from the issue date.
- You may add the electronic document to the nationality application.
- A paper copy can be checked through its Secure Verification Code (CSV).
- Protect the CSV: anyone who receives it may access the document and verify its contents.
What to do after each result
Check review and second-attempt rulesYour result is not showing?
Passing the 20-day point does not automatically mean there is an error: the official timeframe is approximate.
- Check spam and confirm that you are using the same account as for registration.
- Open “My certificates” on the official portal rather than following third-party links.
- If the session is already published and your result is missing or incorrect, contact Instituto Cervantes User Support.
