Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
CCSE 2026 helps users prepare for the CCSE exam. It is an independent exam-preparation app and is not an official application of any public authority.
1. Data we process
The app does not require an account and does not request your phone number, precise location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos. The support form lets you optionally provide your name and email address so we can reply; these fields are optional and are provided at your discretion.
The app stores study data on your device, including your language, optional exam date, reminders, progress, scores, mistakes, daily limits and Premium access status. Removing the app removes this local data.
The app also uses a random installation-specific ID. This ID is not your name, email address or Apple or Google account ID.
2. Data sent off the device
Some data may be sent off the device when necessary to operate or improve the app:
- support messages you send, including the reason, your message, optional name and email address, and basic app context;
- analytics events and basic technical information used to understand app usage;
- error reports, diagnostics and sampled session recordings used to fix problems;
- purchase and entitlement information used to manage Premium access.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in support messages.
On this website we use Amplitude to measure visits, views and clicks on download links. We record only fixed values identifying the page, link placement and campaign. We do not enable autocapture or store analytics identifiers in cookies or local storage, and we do not send content you enter or URL parameters.
We also honour the browser’s Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals: when either is enabled, website analytics do not start.
3. Providers
We use:
- Supabase to store support messages and host public documents;
- Amplitude for app and website analytics;
- Vercel to host the website;
- Sentry for error reporting and diagnostics;
- RevenueCat to manage Premium entitlements;
- Apple App Store and Google Play for purchases and app distribution.
These providers may process data in the EU/EEA, the United States or other places where they or their subprocessors operate.
4. Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
A one-time Premium purchase unlocks the current Premium features without recurring subscription payments while the app and those features remain available. Future products, services, subscriptions or separate features may be offered separately.
5. No advertising or tracking
The app contains no third-party advertising SDKs, does not sell personal data and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes.
6. Your choices and rights
You can remove local study data by uninstalling the app. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of personal data relating to you, and to receive a copy of that data.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests, performance of a contract, your action or consent, and legal obligations, depending on the context.
7. Contact and updates
For privacy questions or requests, email support@ccse.app or use the support contact shown in the App Store or Google Play listing. We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version will be available in the app and on this page.
